At a glance

Fractional Compliance Officer in four points

Part-time, recurring expertise

An experienced Compliance Officer works for the organisation on a part-time, recurring basis, without a full-time hire.

What is included

Programme management, advice, monitoring, board reporting, supervisor liaison and external roles such as Data Protection Officer.

Who it is for

It suits SMEs, public bodies and groups that need a compliance function across several entities.

How it starts

Scope, service levels and designated roles are set in a proposal, and work starts once the contract is signed.

What it is

An experienced Compliance Officer working for the organisation on a part-time, recurring basis. The fractional model gives access to specialised expertise and an independent second-line function without the cost of a full-time hire, and is particularly suited to SMEs, public bodies and groups that need a compliance function across several entities.

What is included

  • compliance programme management: maintaining policies, procedures and the compliance calendar;

  • advice: reasoned opinions on compliance questions raised by management and staff;

  • monitoring: periodic controls and follow-up of corrective actions;

  • reporting: regular reports to the management body;

  • liaison: support in dealings with supervisory authorities;

  • designated roles: roles that the law allows to be performed externally, such as the Data Protection Officer;

  • support to internal office-holders: where the law requires the role to be held within the organisation, such as the AML compliance manager or the person responsible for regulatory compliance under Portugal's RGPC, we provide the technical support that makes the role effective.

Plans and prices

  • Essential: EUR 500 to 900 per month, for core programme management and advice;

  • Advanced: EUR 900 to 2,500 per month, for wider scope, more domains or several entities;

  • Mentoring: EUR 300 to 800 per month, to support an internal compliance officer.

The ranges are indicative. The final fee depends on the domains covered, the size of the organisation and the agreed service levels.

How it works

We define the scope, service levels and designated roles in a proposal. The engagement starts once the contract is signed and the first invoice issued, and all records of the function are kept in the Office.
